Does anyone live near St. Ladislaus cemetery in Natrona Heights, PA (near Pittsburgh)? If so, do you have a half day to help me? I found out from the Catholic Church that my grandfather, Alexander Ulinski Sr., died May 5, 1920 and is buried in St. Ladislaus Cemetery in Natrona Heights. I’m trying to figure out whether my grandmother and 5 of their children that died in Natrona are also buried there and the dates of their death, probably early 1920's for the children. I think Alex’s wife, Alice/Alexandria Hotkowska Ulinski, died ~ 1958. The 5 Ulinski children I am looking for are: Edward born 1902, Teora (Tina) 1903, Elizabeth 1905, Martha 1906, Stella 1909. The staff at the cemetery said I'd have to come and walk the cemetery to find the graves with the dates of death, because all the information on paper was lost in a flood. The cemeteries are combined for St. Joseph and St. Ladislaus Cemetery at 2300-2400 Freeport Rd (Old Rt. 28 South) Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724) 224-2785.

Also, like Bjorn said, if you go to FindAGrave and join, you can submit a request to a volunteer who will go to the the cemetary (if there is a volunteer in the area of the cemetery in question), and they will snap pictures for you and upload it on the FindAGrave site.

Thanks! The cemetery is listed, but not my ancestors. Since I know my grandfather is there, I can submit his dates to the FindAGrave website. I'll see if they have a volunteer to find his children and my grandmother at St. Ladislaus cemetery.

I see there is someone else trying to find a volunteer for FindAGrave at the St. Ladislaus Cemetery in Natrona Heights, PA, with no luck since May 16, 2009.

Great. I do want to be closer to my roots, and find any living Ulinski relatives. I thought I had none until watching Dr. Gates' program. I'm also trying to lay a foundation for my young Baranski cousins to learn about their ancestors. Our Polish grandparents lived with us and we learned the language, customs, food, etc. from them. I have old photos and some basic information to share, but hope to build a whole treasure chest.

Find-a-Grave volunteer, Iles, found my grandfather's grave in Natrona, PA, and photographed it for me! There were no other Ulinskis buried there, although I hoped to find 5 of my aunts and uncles and my grandmother. The grave marker contained only the surname. How can I ever thank this person I will never meet? Thanks Bjorn and Mimi !
