Where are the topics listed? Where is the global search? How do we get anything organized in topics?

Hello Alan
It seems that the Geni Interface engineers and you don't think the same way.
Don't worry, It happend to many other (including myself)
give yourself an hour (mayne you'll need less) just to walk around and feel. I;m sure it will make sense.
Start with the simple things as adding family members and updating teir profile from the tree and from the list under the RELATIVES tab.
there is also a GENI forum at forum.geni.com try it.

Thanks for the reply. my tree is up and running on geni, but I have a lot of questions and I would prefer to search for ansers first.
The link to the forum has been removed from the main pages, and Geni support told nme they are discontinuing and discouraging the use, as they are moving to "Discussions". But there is no index, no topics organization, no search in "Discussions" So it is pretty much unusable.
I also have invited many of the people who are interested in our family tree, and they get lost. They do not find apparently their own profile, create a new one, and then start deleting their children from my tree!

There is an upcoming release for changes in the discussions, including search.

well, if someone deletes his own chlidren... what can i say? :-)
as you see the discussions tab is a free platform that any one can ask and everyone can reply. there are many "senior" users that will be happy to help

Great. That is most welcome. Any ETA?
