This seems to be problem as users using other language versions of Geni will not understand these requests.
If user is using Japanese (or Greek, or Russian or Estonian etc) version of Geni then all Collaboration Requests, Family Requests etc. containing "default auto-text" will be sent out in Japanese (or Greek, or Russian or Estonian etc) only.

I have already got such requests in Russian, Portuguese etc. and I have also got numerous responses to my requests as "do you speak English, as I can't understand Estonian?"

Geni shall add:
A) parallel English text to all requests,
or
B) automation like: - if I (using Geni in Estonian) will send out request to my Polish friend (using Geni in Polish) then Geni automatically converts my Estonian requests to Polish. Also all requests sent to me (by Japanese, Russian etc users) will arrive to my Inbox in Estonian (as chosen Geni language)

I was surprised to get your Estonian message, but then I read your post here, Lauri. I was sure that Geni would have made the message go out in the recipient's language, not the sender's. That must be a bug!

All outgoing mail and requests should be in english or recipients language only.
when the message is for more than one recipient with different languages - it shoud be english.

What do you guys think about this solution:

* If the recipient is an existing Geni user, we will send emails in the recipient's language. (Although we have users who joined Geni, but never figured out how to change their language. So we thought to respect sender's preference in that case. But i think we should just send emails in English in that case)

* If the email is being sent out to a non-Geni user (like invitations or reminders), we will send the email's in the sender's language.

Any suggestions?

I agree with the first solution, Good Algorithm
about mail to non-users - I think english is better.
the best is to offer the sender to select the language from the three options: sender's, recipient's and English

Why for non-users Geni can't send it out in 2 languages - English + Sender's One?

If Geni user is not changed his/her language then all correspondence shall remain in English. Geni shall during sending out EACH message/request/etc. check recipients language (some persons (also translators) are regularly changing Geni language).
