Picasa interface

A file of 364 uploaded OK but 425 didn't, so I guess it's around 400.

Hello.
I have uploaded several photos. Not so many as you. But after some
months they just are gone. The text is still there but no picture.
I asked Geni staff but they know nothing about this problem.

Now that's something! If they were changed to documents, the would not show as pictures, but missing? If they were already on the system. I don't see what Picasa would haveto do with it. But I guess only time will tell.

It should be noted that we had not stared the script mentioned in that discussion, at the time that Marghita Granfelt posted. [If you want to send me a message with the URL of one or two of the photos, I can investigate]

Some fresh info from Geni Team:
"The script has over 200,000 photos to rename and re-upload to photos.geni.com -- that's probably going to take about 10 days."

I wrote to Geni Team about a lot of my pictures gone missing about
one year ago. Nothing happend and they knew nothing.
And now suddenly probably they fix it in 10 days.
I believe it when I see it.

The script to repair photos with international characters is finished. These should now show correctly on the profiles and in the tree. If you're still having problems with some photos, let me know and I can investigate.
