How do we get this fine lady out of my third great grandfather's life?
It is very well documented (Frederick Goss of Rowan County, NC and his Descendants by Lois Heuss, privately published 1968) that Frederick Goss born 1766 in Rowan Cty, NC married Sarah "Sally" Elston and only Sarah Elston. With her he had a great many children. Among the Swiss/German Gosses from Rothenfluh, Frederick was a very popular name. Nearly every son in every generation for a couple of hundred years named a son Frederick! (at least it seems this way) It may be that some Frederick Goss married her; but definitely not this Fred. Neither David Prins nor I are able to break this erroneous connection. Help please!
