I am researching my family from Jamaica and I could really use any help. It is a desperate situation. I am at a loss to find any information as to my grandmothers Jewish heritage, This is very inportant information I need to locate as soon as possible. If anyone can help me find out birth, burial or any records from my grandmothers family in Jamaica (to see if she was indeed Jewish) I would greatly appreciate it. I am at a loss as I can not find records through Ancestry or Family Search to verify Peniple Lynon or Eugenie Bruce and that is very important.

Charles Bruce abt 1820 Clarendon, Jamaica
= Peniple Lyon abt 1820 Clarendon, Jamaica
Eugenie Bruce abt 1858 Clarendon, Jamaica - abt 1917 Kingston, Jamaica
= William Solomon "Butchie" Simmons abt 1851 Saba Dutch West Indies
Edna Blanche Sep 17 1904 Jamaica BWI, Limon, Costa Rica- March 17 1981 Baltimore MD

Have you any contacts with the Jamaican Jewish Community?
Quick googling found some possible avenues for you to explore.

According to "The Jewish Nation of the Caribbean by Mordechai Arbell, Kingston, Church and North Street Cemetery was a Jewish Cemetery in Clarendon - Kingston.
