Seeking any information on this family. Andrew was born in Sweden in 1879. He immigrated in 1904 to Moline, Rock Island, Illinois. He married Svea Virginia Carlson about 1914. The family moved to Darling Township, Little Falls, Morrison, MN about 1921-22. It is rumored that Andrew may have had another family prior to changing his name to Sandberg and immigrating to the US. Svea immigrated in 1903. She would have been only 9 at that time.

I wish we were related but my Sandbergs are from Nor-Trondlag, Norway. Their surname was Alsnaes before they moved to the Sandberg farm. That was in the days when they changed their surname to the name of the farm they lived on. So, that is why our surname is Sandberg. I like this name so I am happy about this. Many people named Sandberg who live in Minnesota are Sweedish. Happy hunting!
