The mystery of Mary Hawxhurst.

There appears to be a great deal of confusing information regarding the Children of Mary Hawxhurst with many trees showing them in several positions and on several dates. A careful examination of the children's birth dates will show the impossibility of many of the facts as they appear in many family trees. Added to the fact that she went to America around 1629 - 30 accompanied by 3 daughters Deliverance [m Richard Townsend], Ann [m Henry Townsend], and Elizabeth [m John Townsend]. All 3 sisters married Townsend men in America.] Her son could have been Daniel 1626 or Nathaniel possibly both but probably the former. Add to this mix a Margaret B 1627 possibly M a Whitaker and remained behind in England as she was buried there. All these children appear to be the result of her Marriage around 1620 to Mathias Hervey or Harvey B 1600 in England, though they are frequently attributed to Robert Cole. As their birth dates precede 1630 the date of her marriage to R Cole in America they cannot be correct. In America in 1630 she married Robert Cole or Coles B 1597. The children of that union appear to be Robert B 1630, John B 1633, Nathaniel B 1640, and Sarah B 1641, all sir named Cole or Coles. Well that is the best sense I can make of it, others may see it differently no doubt.
Take the time line shown here for example. Staring with the birth if Elizabeth Hervey. She particularly interests me as she is a direct maternal ancestor. Is she a Hervey or a Cole?. As the marriage between Robert Cole and Mary Hawxhurst seem to be well established as around 1630/37 the dates of her six children simply do not add up. Margaret Whitaker I believe to be an incorrect addition altogether. The profile here places Mathias Hervey as her first husband in England. Which makes more sense than most information which places him as a second spouse in America.
