I just wanted to ensure everyone was aware of the various Civil War projects we have started.

Visit the main project ( for the full scope of what we are working on, and guidelines to contributing so that everyone will benefit from your research.

Our goal is that everyone with interest create/join a project for the unit their ancestor was in. If you are interested in taking it further, there are projects for divisions, brigades, states, battles, the Armies, etc., that you can contribute to at your pleasure. The only requirement is that you follow the naming conventions, and that you have fun!!!

Hope to see some of you in the other projects soon.

He hemorrhaged when he was shot through the thigh and it severed an artery. He also served in the War with Mexico where he contracted some type of illness which forced him to resign when he initially served in 1861.
