Albert Reiss was the great uncle of my grandmother (who is descended from Albert's sister Hermine Reiss).
My grandmother described him as a "financial genius" whose wive gave a dowry of 10,000 Guilders. Albert went bankrupt and as a result, his daughters (except 1 or 2 already married) didn't get married owing to his shame. His mother apparently lived with or had a connection to Baron Gutman after her husband died. In the Wittgenstein in Vienna book it says; ".. Karl ritter von Gutmann testified against his brother-in-law, Albert Reiss - implying that one of his sisters married von Gutmann.
I was told one daughter was killed in a road / tram accident and their grandchildren moved to the UK. There were 6 other daughters and one son.
