I'm trying to work my way back through Bahamian records to hit on enough documentation for the Chinese-Bahamians to add them to the Big Tree. One of my great-aunt's married into the Chea family, which is like "the" big Chinese last name in the Bahamas, so I'm working my way through her.
Most Chinese in the Bahamas arrived in the late 1800s and early 1900s through the restaurant, laundry, and cleaning industries. A surprising number arrived via Cuba. I'm trying to tie together that migration pattern in hopes that it will give me more information. For now, I'm going to upload some documents to the project for future use.
