Gregory George Ballard did not exist, he was just plain Gregory. He was not born in Kent in c1400 (since you correctly show him to be Chief Butler to Richard II and Richard II died in 1400 - D'OH!). The children shown are in fact a mix of children, grandchildren & fabrication. The evidence to sort all of this out has been on the web for more than 10 years - I know because I put it there!

I see someone addressed this back in 2011 and yet it remains incorrect.

I'm attaching two pages from this site below under the Media tab on Gregory's profile;

https://sas-space.sas.ac.uk/5776/1/Janet_Clayton_-_Thomas_Walsingha...

that refers to Gregory Ballard and his connections. The middle name George doesn't appear and is probably not correct.

Additionally, it was this Gregory's mother whose maiden name was Gregory, not his wife's maiden name.

Gregory's wife is mentioned as Katherine and the only mention of his parents states that it's believed his name Greogry came from his mother's maiden name:

"...Gregory Ballard’s will, made on 4 October 1415 and proved in 1417, indicates that he was named for his mother’s family, the Gregorys, who held the manor of Beaconsfield. 56"

So I'm going to make the needed corrections; i.e., remove the middile name George, remove the maiden name Gregory from his wife's name, and list his mother's maiden name as Gregory, per the documentation. If someone can document the middle name George, it can always be added back.
