Organize the projects

As it's now, at least I feel that the projects need a clean up. They must be organized on a better way.

Maybe they could be placed in one of two cathegories; Geographical project or historical project. After that they could be sorted under a country, or an event (of course a project could be placed into both cathegories (eg. Civil war and US)).

Maybe the wrong place to post the suggestion, but we do need a clean up.

Projects began as something that helped curators to manage "areas" of profiles.
once the projects were opened to anyone it became "successive mess" - there is a mess and sometimes it's successive...
Cleaning project is a task that is as difficult as cleaning profiles.
we don't have an indication of "abandoned project" and we don't have real info about project manager. maybe it's best to start with project curators?

while projects were *suggested* by curators, Noah has taken them much beyond that, and from the start meant them to be for everybody.

There ARE a number of suggestions in the pipe-line on how to better organize them. Most likely in the form of nested/umbrella projects. Also Geni might do a purge of empty and abandoned projects, which are a significant percentage of the total.
