Can anyone help?
I want to know more about the marriage of a James Laing to a Caroline Elizabetha Empey b. 1817c
I only have this much information to go on so far.
My Geni Empey tree is conected to the Laing tree, but cannot pin point the correct James Laing.
I am connected to this James Laing, as he is my 3rd great uncle, and Caroline my 3rd great aunt.
My spouse is more closely gene-connected to the Laing than I am.
Would love to hear from anyone that may be able to shed more light.
GOD Bless,
Christopher Lee Empey

@ Do you have any more data--- where they lived or died?
I have the manuscript "Pioneer Settlers of Plainfield and Vicinity" which info stems from John Laing of Aberdeen to our country in 1685 & settled in NJ. It is rather sketchy but there are a few "James" mentioned.. Could they have been Quaker?

@ I'm looking for parents of Jacob Laing who married Sarah Chamberlainca ca 1792 and settled in Butler County, Ohio c 1817 No doubt NJ according to the other familiy marriages of: Vail, Tucker, Gard, etc.. Jacob was a much favored name, too many to sort out. Sara could have been his 2nd marriage. .
