At his residence, 116 Fairmont Avenue, on Monday, May 31st, 1937, William Albert Bradley, in his 73rd year. Funeral Thursday, June 3. Service at St. Matthias church at 2:30 pm DST. Interment at Blackburn.

Ottawa Citizen - June 8, 1937 - William Albert Bradley

Attended by a wide circle of friends and relatives, the funeral of the late William Albert Bradley, who died June 1, 1937, was held from his late residence, 116 Fairmont Avenue, on Thursday last to St. Matthias church, where a very impressive service was conducted by Rev. Cecil Roach, MA, assisted by Rev. Canon W.A.E. Butler, MA and Rev. Mr. Maxwell of Navan. Interment took place in Blackburn cemetery.

The late Mr. Bradley, who was in his seventy-third year, was born in Blackburn and farmed there until six years ago, when he retired to Ottawa. He was a son of the late William Bradley and Charlotte Morris. His wife, whose maiden name was Mary Rathwell, predeceased him nearly nineteen years ago. He attended St. Matthias church, was a member of the Men's Club as well as the Anglican Fellowship Club.

Surviving him are two daughters, Lola and Edna at home; one son, George at Blackburn; five brothers, Joshua, Joseph and Arthur of Manitou, Manitoba; Adam of Altamont, Manitoba and Herbert of Camrose, Alberta; four sisters, Mrs. James Wadsworth, Moosejaw, Sask.; Mrs. J.A. McDowell and Mrs. Leonard Crampton, Manitou, Manitoba and Mrs. James Clarke of Hazeldean, Ontario; also three grandchildren.

Many beautiful floral tributes testifying to the high esteem in which the late Mr. Bradley was held, were received from the Men's Club, St. Matthias church; St. Mary's congregation, Blackburn, Ontario; LOL No. 445, Blackburn; Canadian Order of Forresters Lodge, Navan, Ontario; Valley Co-Operative Creameries, Ltd.; Loans and Interest Branch, Dept. of Finance; the Evening Branch of St. Matthias Women's Auxiliary, and many others.
