About Aaron Clark
Aaron Clark (October 16, 1787 – August 2, 1861) was an American politician who became the second popularly elected Mayor of New York, serving two one-year terms from 1837 to 1839. He was a member of the Whig Party.

Aaron Clark was the second popularly elected mayor of New York. He was also a patron of Hamilton College, which has an annual award named after him.
He and his wife are buried in Marble Cemetery in Manhattan, NY.
