His middle name and chosen nickname "Con" comes from his second great grandmother: Rachel Shoemaker descended from: Thones Kunders, Original 13 Families of Germantown, PA
Ellwood Roberts also write of David Jones' descendants (briefly) in description of the large number of them who were part of the Plymouth Meeting Friends of the end of the 19th century (see Project for citation)
