Attorney. The son of Tapping Reeve, nephew of Aaron Burr, grandson of Rev. Aaron Burr, Sr., and great-grandson of Jonathan Edwards, he graduated from Yale University in 1802, studied at his father's law school and became an attorney. In 1808 he married Annabella Sheldon, and they settled in Troy, New York.
Aaron Reeve left a son, Tapping Burr Reeve (1809-1829), who died in Litchfield while he was a student at Yale College. Annabella Reeve remarried, and her husband David T. Burr of New Haven, Connecticut and she relocated to Richmond, Virginia.
Aaron Reeve was originally buried in Troy's Barker Park. 144 graves, including Reeve's, were moved from Barker Park to Oakwood Cemetery in 1875 to make way for the construction of a new City Hall.
