Abalona Singer

This info is from Susan Singer: Johannes Singer I got a copy today of the record of our John Christian Singer's second marriage to Anna Apilona Moyin. Record came from Lutheran Archives housed in Philadelphia. It is the record of the church at Germantown- St. Michaels Lutheran Church. We did not live in Germantown- but we did live close, and their ministers traveled the area performing marriages and baptisms. 1768, 27, Oct. Christian Singer w...ith Anna Abalona Moyin with proclamation (the guy that called and did the research said that "with proclamation" meant the upcoming marriage was announced about 2 weeks before it occurred. The date is the date of the marriage- not the date of proclamation. I have tried to find the name Moyin- to no avail. There are a lot of Moyer names in the 1790 cenus of Montgomery Co. Pa.- (that being the earliest census I could find) Not to jump to conclusions- it seems that the minister was very dilligent in his writing and wrote very well. He definitely spelled the name Moyin. Christian was first married to Hannah Peters- and for awhile we thought this to be the mother of our Christian Jr. - but she is not. I have record from Boehm.s church that Jacob Singer was born to Christian and wife Abalona, as well as a daughter Catherine. Both were born before 1777- when we think our Christian Jr. was born.
