Together with his friends Alessandro Pedrini and Mario Zanetti he was employed by Luigi Gatti to sail on the Titanic 1, his first ship. His wages were £2 2s per month (plus tips). He signed-on to the Titanic on 6th April 1912 and he began work the same day. At this time his address was given as 6 Titchfield Street, London.

Rigozzi died in the sinking. His body was recovered by the Mackay-Bennett (#115) and was buried at sea. When his body was recovered it was found to be wearing a black armband. He had been in mourning for his father who died in February 1912.

Notes 1. Rigozzi was apparently hired as a replacement for a man called Giulietto Biucchi, who, for reasons unknown, was unable to join the ship.
