About Abi Ragan Haynes
Daughter of Richard L. Haynes. The Haynes Bridge Rd., Alpharetta, GA. is named after the Haynes Family. The old Haynes home place sat where Hwy. 400 and Haynes Bridge Rd. crosses.
The chimney to the old Haynes home place, dated back before the Civil War,was taken down and moved to the Haynes Bridge Middle School, Alpharetta, GA.
The chimney was originally constructed of stone and sun-dried Georgia red clay bricks. It was dismantled brick by brick, one rock at a time and rebuilt.
A Dedication of the Chemney was held Sunday, March 19, 2000.
