Some records on the Internet indicate that Abraham was born in Sheboygan, WI. It seems more likely that he was born in Rochester, NY, as part of the Ernisse clan there. (And he died in Rochester). Online sources might have confused him with the Ernisse's (Eernisse's) of Sheboygan. Census records are inconsistent, some suggesting he was born in Michigan.
As of 1915, Abraham and his family were living at 20 Hollister Street in Rochester, and he was employed as a "shoe cutter."
