In the 1880 U.S. Census for Bloomington, Bear Lake County, Idaho, Abraham Welker was 5 years old, and was living with his mother, Susannah C. Welker, age 48, and his siblings, Isabella J., 15, Susan E., 14, Francis M., 10, Sarah, 12, Harrison A., 7, and his twin sisters, Catherine and Caroline, age 3. The twin girls died the following year in 1881 of diptheria. His father, James Wilburn Welker, age 55, is living three doors down with his first wife, Annie Pugh Welker, and some of their children, Wilburn, age 23, Ephraim, 20, and Rebecca Ann, 16. Next door is his half brother, Gilbert Welker, 44, and his wife Charlotte, 42, and their 7 children, Mary, 16, Lawrence J., 12, Albert W., 10, Bardella J., 8, Carson Nels, 6, Alfred W., 4, and Laura, 1.
