About Abram Ernisse

Abraham immigrated into the U.S. with his father, Abraham, and four siblings, arriving in 1847. At some point the double E at the beginning of the surname was changed to a single E, as indicated on the tombstone.

Rochester, NY city directors indicate that in the 1860's he was living at 108 East Ave. and worked as a painter.

Per the 1910 US Census, Abram was living on Hollister Street as a widower. His son John and daughter Mattie K. were living with him. He died the following year. Cemetery records indicate he was living on Hollister Street at the time of his death and that he died of a cerebral hemorrhage.
