Ada Jeannette McCONAUGHY May

Ada was the youngest child of James Orlando McConaughy and Amelia Ann Gardhouse. The family lived in a home they called "Greenhust". Three of her brothers died at early ages.
Ada served as Phil W. May, Sr.'s secretary when he first came to Rochelle. They were later married and were the parents of Phillipa Jane, Mary Margaret, Phillip Willard, Jr. and Barbara Grace May.
Ada was a member of DAR and several service groups that benefit the community.
Ada and her sister Grace, became the matriachs of a large extended family that still gets together for reunions every three years, joined by a handful of their brother Ed's descendants.
