About Ada S. Yoder
FREDERICKSBURG -- Ada S. Hershberger, 85, 8907 Township Road 614, Fredericksburg, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 9, 2016, at her home after a lengthy illness.
She was born on June 11, 1930, in Stark County to the late Sam A. and Amanda I. (Yoder) Yoder, and married Simon Hershberger on Nov. 7, 1957. He survives.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are children, John (Erma) Hershberger of Gambier, Ruth (Atlee) Swartzentruber of Fredericksburg, Wesley (Verba) Hershberger and Anna (Demas) Hershberger, both of Oak Hill, Ada Mae (Eli) Miller Jr. of the home, and Katie (Ray) Miller of Fresno; 55 grandchildren, 154 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Sarah Yoder of Apple Creek.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dan Yoder; sisters, Anna (Ben) Mullet, Sarah (Earl) Mullet and Esther (Owen) Miller; a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 9 a.m. at the family residence, with Bishop LeRoy Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Hershberger Cemetery, Salt Creek Township, Holmes County. Friends may call anytime at the family home.
