Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 10, at St. Agnes Church; interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS. Friends may call 4-9 p.m. Thursday, at the Muehlebach Chapel, with the Rosary being said at 6:30 p.m.
Mr. Befort was born in Hayes [sic-s/b Munjor], KS.
He retired as a carpenter for Ft. Hayes Experimental Station in 1985, after 20 years of service. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of St. Agnes Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Schoenchen Council, Hayes, KS; V.F.W. Post 9076, Hayes, KS; and the American Legion, Hayes, KS.
Survivors include his wife, Rita M. Befort, of the home; sons, Randy J. Befort, Shawnee, KS, Curtis A. Befort, Overland Park, KS, and Craig A. Befort, Wichita, KS; daughters, Cindy Rohr, St. Charles, MO, Renee Befort, Lawrence, KS, and Rhonda Cronin, Mission, KS; four brothers and seven sisters; and eight grandchildren.
