About Adam A Coon, Jr.

His mother was Hannah Meadows, not Nancy Ferrell, according to the following source. Adam's father (Adam Esch Coon) married his second wife, Nancy Ferrell on July 28, 1836, after his first wife Hannah died giving birth to her eighth child in March 1836. Nancy Ferrell then raised those eight children, including the infant Adam, and gave birth to eight more.

He married Mary A. Byrnside 05 Dec 1860 in Boone County, Virginia (WV), daughter of Benjamin Byrnside and Cynthia Alford. She was born 1843 in Kanawha County, Virginia, and died 1900 in Putnam County, West Virginia. They had seven children.
