Adam Reisinger Singer

Born Adam Reisinger, he emigrated to the United States in 1803 with his first wife, Ruth Benson. They are the parents of Isaac Merritt Singer, founder of the Singer Sewing Machine Company. They had eight children, three sons and five daughters; the eldest daughter's name was Elizabeth Singer. The two divorced when Isaac was 10.

Adam and Ruth divorced in 1821.After Adam Singer remarried, he moved to Hannibal/Oswego County.
