About Addie Geraldine Rosenbaum

Addie Geraldine Rosenbaum

September 27, 1918 - August 4, 2008

LYNDEN - Addie was the first of three daughters born to Joel and Anna Rosenbaum on their homestead in Box Elder, Montana. Addie's family then moved to Yakima, WA where she graduated from Yakima High School.

Her life was defined by her faith in God. She served for many years with The Navigators as executive assistant to the founder, Dawson Trotman, until his death, and then as director of Women's Ministries and Hostess in the Glen Eyrie Guest House. A highlight of her career with the Navigators was serving on the team for the Billy Graham Crusade in London. Addie also served as the first secretary for Mission Aviation Fellowship during its early formative stage.

In 1966, Addie retired from ministry with the Navigators and returned to Yakima, WA to help care for aging parents. During this time she returned to the business world, working as secretary to the U.S. Postal Inspector, Federal Prosecuting Attorney and other positions over the years. She continued her faithful Christian service through the West Side Baptist Church in Yakima.

In 2003 she moved with her sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Leslie Robinson to Lynden, WA to be near extended family. Her recent years have been spent under the daily care of loving family, friends and Christian Health Care Center in Lynden.

As well as giving so much for her parents, Addie will also be remembered as the close and special older sister, always caring, sharing and communicating with sisters Lois and Betty.

Addie is home at last after facing a long and difficult illness with courage, dignity and faith in God. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Lois and brother-in-law Les Robinson, brother-in-law Earl Adams, nieces Cheryl Alexander, Esther Snell, Rebekah White, nephews Dennis Adams, Joel Robinson, plus grand- (and great-grand) nieces and nephews and host of her friends. She was preceded going home by her parents and loving sister Betty Adams.

Our loving Addie will be buried at Naches Cemetery, Naches, WA next to her parents.

Burial in Naches Cemetery, Naches, Yakima County, WA.
