Adelaide was granted a divorce from Henry Garrison Silleck III on 7 September 1934. She charged him with extreme cruelty. They were married on 21 November 1928. See the Reno Evening Gazette, Friday, September 7, 1934, page two.
Per her marriage to Henry: "The pair eloped to Elkton, Md., when each was but 19 and Adelaide was still in school at Haverford, Pa. That was 15 February 1925. A year later Garry had the union annulled at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Two years after that, the couple remarried in a festive church ceremony at Greenwich, Conn. But in 1934 the twice-married wife journeyed to Reno and was unhitched again."
