Adelbert was also known as
"A. J." and "Del" Dragoo.

He was the son of Tucker Steele Dragoo
and his wife Sarah A. Kirkendall, of
Dayton Township, Newaygo Co. Michigan.

Adelbert was married three times:

m. # 1. Margaret A. Gracey/Gracy,
nicknamed "Maggie".
(Sept. 13, 1867 - Sept. 17, 1904).

m. # 2. Adelbert, age 42, was married
on July 21, 1908, in Traverse City,
Grand Traverse County Michigan, to
Mrs. Laura Anna (Fulghum) Develin, age 43,
(1864-1912),
the daughter of James Albert Fulghum,
and his wife Isabella Anderson.

m. # 3. Adelbert, age 46, was
married on Jan. 29, 1913, in
Traverse City,
Grand Traverse Co. Michigan, to
Mrs. Aaltje May (Meeboer) Post,
age 36, (nicknamed "Alice"),
the daughter of Dirk Meeboer,
and his wife Hanna Hagens.

Adelbert had lived at 498 Division St.
in Grand Rapids, Kent Co. Michigan in
1900, and in Traverse City, Michigan
in 1910 (and at the time of his mother's
death in Jan. 1918). He then lived in
Grand Haven, MI in 1920, and Holland,
Ottawa County Michigan, in 1930.

d. Adelbert died on May (9 or 12), 1932.

He is buried here, near his
three wives, his parents, and
his sister Ida Myrtle Dragoo.

Note:
His brother Lawrence Vincent Dragoo
(1871-1950), and wife Gertrude
(1870-1926), and their
infant son (1900-1901),
are buried in the Evens Cemetery,
in Fremont, Newaygo Co. Michigan.
