A. A. Phelps, of near Carter, who has been ill for some time at the Winner General Hospital, died as he was being removed to his home where he wished to be taken. He leaves his wife and three children, a son at home, I. A. Phelps of Union Grove, Iowa and Mrs. Bessie Parks of Remsen, Iowa. Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at the Earnest A. Bailey Funeral parlors, with John Leach officiating.

The Libby family received word last week of the death of their brother-in-law, A. A. Phelps, at Winner, S.D. Miss Annette Libby and Mrs. Harding attended the funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Phelps spent their golden wedding day here and were honored at an anniversary dinner at the Friends church, October 9. J. [sic, I.] A. Phelps visited here over the weekend, enroute home from the funeral.
