About Adele Townsend Dotson
SAVOY -- Adele T. Dotson, 83, of Savoy, formerly of Tuscola, died at 10:50 p.m. Monday (May 31, 1993) at the Carle Arbours Nursing Home in Savoy.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Waddington Shrader Funeral Home in Tuscola with the Rev. J. William Werner officiating. Burial will be in the Tuscola Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
She was born Nov. 6, 1909, in New Orleans, La., the daughter of Admiral Ernest Lee and Cora S. Stanton Jahncke. She married Charles W. Dotson in 1933; he died in 1984.
Surviving are two sons, Charles J. Dotson of Clearwater, Fla., and Lewis Stanton Dotson of Mattoon; a daughter, Adele Myers of Champaign; a sister, Cora Seemann of New Orleans, La.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers.
Mrs. Dotson was a member of the Tuscola United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a member and past chairwoman of the Douglas County Republican Women.
