Adele Peake Rubin, 97, a longtime resident of Annapolis, died of natural causes July 6.. One of seven children, she was born in Baltimore January 1, 1917. In 1936, she married Max. E. Rubin and moved to Annapolis where they opened Little Photo Studio, which eventually moved to 10 Francis Street. She was an artist and was active in several local organizations including the Colonial Players where she was a director of makeup for many years. As a member of Kneseth Israel, she was also active in designing sets for productions. In later years, she enjoyed traveling overseas with her family and with her best friend, Julia. Adele is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Max, and youngest daughter, Saralee Peacock. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara R. Schlossman of Annapolis, Eve A. Noon of Princeton, NJ, and Madeleine R. Knoll of Crofton, eight grandchildren and five great grandsons. Graveside services were held today at Congregation Kneseth Israel Cemetery at 101 Defense Highway, Annapolis.
