Notes for Adeline BOASE:

Adeline separated from her husband early in her marriage and raised her child alone. They were married in the rites of the established Church of England United Church Fremantle. Witnesses at the wedding were Jane Anquin and Herbert Poole. Adeline is buried with her brother Philemon at Karrakatta. Gravesite NO: 0554. i. Vida Janet NEWTON, B: 19 Jan 1904 in Fremantle, D: 16 Nov 1988 in Shenton Park, M: Wallace Alexander NELSON, 16 Aug 1920 in Perth. Notes for Vida Janet NEWTON: Vida married a man 18 years her senior with the written consent of her mother at the registry office in Perth when she was just 17 years old. She had no children. She ran away from her hubby with the man who taught her to drive. Later the man's wife committed suicide by drinking poison and he left Vida. Vida's cousin William Boase read the story of the suicide and copied the lady by drinking poison also. Vida had two defacto husbands Fred and Jim Paul
