

“The death of Mrs. Eugene Tanner, 87, occurred this morning at 12:45 o’clock at the Raulie Nursing Home, 60 Cherry Street. Mrs. Tanner had been in failing health several years and bedfast the past year.
Adella Ogan, a daughter of the late Morris and Tacy Ann (Albritain) Ogan, was born in Zanesville, O., October 24, 1867. She moved with her parents to the Wheeling community. Mrs. Tanner was a member of the Wheeling Baptist Church. Her husband, Eugene Tanner, preceded her in death Feb. 2, 1944.
Mrs. Tanner is survived by four sons, Ogan, Bruce, Buel and Charles, all of St Louis.
Funeral services will be held from the Wheeling Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The pastor, Rev. Carl Lindholm, will conduct the memorial services, which will be under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home. Interment will be made in the family lot in the Wheeling Cemetery.” The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, June 15, 1955
