About Adnah Isabelle Isbell
At the age of nine years, Adnah moved with her family to the then frontier of Illinois and later to Iowa. In January of 1861 she married Alexander in Vinton Iowa. To this union were born 13 children. They lived for 19 years in the state of Iowa. They came overland with a team of oxen to the raw prairies of Kansas in 1877 and lived there for 14 years. When the Cherokee stripe open in 1893, Alexander made the run with his son Randsom Eugene and secured a home 3 miles west of Waukomis Ok.
