It is not clear why this couple gave up their son to adoption in 1903.

It appears that Adolf MUNKACSI was known under several different names. Although he apparently converted from the Jewish to the Catholic faith in 1884 and changed his name then, he was evidently entered under a variant name in birth & adoption registrations of children ...
