Mrs. Agatha Lee, widow of Nels Lee died Monday at 9 a.m. of lung fever after a weeks' illness. Mrs. Lee was one of the pioneer ladies of Vernon, being over 78 years of age and for over thirty years resided on the farm now owned by her son, Nels, where she died. Her husband died 14 years ago. Six children survive her, Mrs. John Lee, Nels N. Lee, and Mrs. Bendik Nesse, residing in Vernon; Mrs. Severt Neseth, of Kenyon, and Simon Lee, now of LaCrosse, Wash. The funeral will be held at the farm home of Nels N. Lee, where she died, Saturday at 10 a.m. Services will be held at the South Zumbro church of which she has been a member for a great many years.

Esther Lee (daughter of Nels Lee & Martha Exe, Nels's 3rd wife) sent me the following information on the Agata Straume Family Tree...as compiled from the Modalen Herad Book.

1.Agata's father was Olav Rasmussen Straume (1781-1839) 1st marriage 1803 to Anna Olavsdtr Straume (1785-1819) 2nd marriage 1821 to Kari Nilsdtr Horvei (1786-1842 Kari was born at Oyrahjellen in Bolstad Kari is Agata's mother Ther were 8 children in the 2 marriages

2.Agata's Paternal Grandfather was Rasmus Rasmussen O. Helland (1747-1822) Married in 1775 to widow Dordei Nilsdtr Kjenes Nygard (1741-1815) Dordei's parents were Nils Knutson Kjenes & Marta Tormosdtr Bergstad Bergstad Evanger,Norway

Agata's grandfather must have moved around a lot as he was born in Ovre Helland in 1747. In 1775 he married Dordei Nygard & used the name Nygard until 1790. After that Rasmus Lillejord until 1794. Then OvreHelland until he moved back to Vetlejord. When he died his name was Lillejord in 1822.

3.Agata's paternal great grandfather was Rasmus Sjurson Namdal O. Helland, born Namdal bruk 2 (1693-1747) 1st marriage to widow Anna Knutsdtr Farestveir in 1713, bruk 1 , no children 2nd marriage in 1793 to Maria Bergesdtr Steinsland (1713-1802)

4. Agata's paternal great,great grandfather was Sjur Anderson Namdal (?-1697) Married 1684 to Anna Olavsdtr-Romarheim (1661-1974)

5. Agata's great, great, great grandfather was thought to be Anders Vermundson Namdal (1625-1700) 1st marriage Marta Johansdtr Namdal (1621-1684) 2nd marriage to Ragnhild Torkjellsdtr (no last name) (1664-1722) There were 3 children in the 3 marriages: Vemund (1660-1663), a daughter and a son...no name given but thought to be Sjur Anderson Namdal
