About Agnes Colquitt
Anniston - Funeral service for Agnes Slay Colquitt Jones, 90, of Anniston, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Pastor Sonny Champion officiating.
Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Jones died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at her residence.
Survivors include daughters, Melanie Colquitt Dean (Phillip) of Anniston, Jackie Colquitt Bonds (Earl) of Weaver, Bobbie Colquitt Miller (Jim) of Oxford; son, Ronald Richard Colquitt (Sue) of Summerfield, FL; stepchildren, Raymond L. Jones of Southside and Mary Jones Hagan (Pat) of Georgia; grandchildren, Cerilla Dean Roe (Ed) of Ohatchee, Connie Dean Fairbanks (Robert) of Colo., Tom Bonds (Jada) of Southside, Tim Bonds (Debbie) of Oxford, Jim Miller (Lisa) of Anniston, Rick Miller (Deanna) of Hoover, Wendy Miller Morrow (Clint) of Lincoln, Andy Colquitt (Lisa) of Aiken, S.C.; step-grandchildren, Karen Jones and Devin Hagan; 18 great-grandchildren and nephew, Larry Whisenant (Lola) of Birmingham.
Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by her husbands, Bray R. Colquitt and Lewis P. Jones; grandchildren, Walter Bonds and Clint Colquitt and sister, Louise Whisenant.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Ladies of the YaYa Traveling Friends and the Wednesday Morning Bible Study Group of St. Marks United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Jones was a former resident of Sunnyside Beach, Fla., where she was an active member of Gulfview United Methodist Church and was instrumental in the development of the Sunnyside Volunteer Fire Dept.
She was retired from Anniston Army Depot and a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church in Anniston. .
