OBITUARY

MRS EDWIN EOWLER The death occurred in Hamilton on Sunday of Mrs Agnes Emily 'Fowler, at the ago of 85 years. Mrs Fowler, who was the daughter of the late Mr James Knapp, one of New Zealand’s earliest colonists, was born at Spring Grove, Nelson, and spent most of her life at Wakefield, in the Nelson district. She married Mr Edwin Fowler, who died two years ago. Mrs Fowler was an enthusiastic worker in the temperance movement. For the last 18 years she lived in Hamilton.

Mrs Fowler is survived by four sons and one daughter, Messrs L. E. Fowler, Wakefield, W. R-. Fowler, Sherry River, F. L. Fowler, Wakefield, R. 11. Fowler, Brightwater, and Mrs L. E. A.very, Hamilton. There are 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchilden.
