Agnes Lenoch (Hrdlicka)

Information provided by a family member:

1883 was a year of loss for the Hrdlicka family, beginning with Joseph's death on March 20th. Daughter Aneska/Agnes, who had been married just over a year (since Oct 18, 1882) to Vaclav Lenoch, died Nov 7th after giving birth to their daughter (Katerina);. The baby lived only 6 days and Agnes died 2 days later. Frank was distraught and committed suicide eight days later (Nov 15th), drowning himself in a well. [Brother Frankie Hrdlicka says it was a spring, not a well.] Both Agnes and Frank were 24 yrs old. Supposedly the shock of losing her daughter and granddaughter was too great for Grandmother (Theresa/Terezie) Hrdlicka, who died of a stroke on November 14th. Thus, within 10 days baby, parents, and grandmother were gone. Inscription: 24yr Wife of Vaclav
