1st Husband: Jacob Warrick McLaughlin 1810–1850 (married in 1838)
Upon the death of Jacob, Agnes had to hire out her sons to local farmers to assure their well being. Thomas was hired out to William W. Perkins, a northern sympathizer, Richard, James and Hugh were farmed out to southern sympathizers.
2nd Husband: John Jacob Dean 1808 – unknown/ after 1880 Census (married in 1862)
Note: John Jacob Dean first married Elizabeth Teter Sept. 23, 1828. She died in 1858. Secondly, John J. Dean married Agnes Boggs (widow of Jacob McLaughin) in 1862.
