About Agnes Murray
Not a known child of Elisha ‘Longhunter’ Walling, Jr.
Agnes Wallen (1785-1855) was the daughter of Elisha Wallen (1760-1852) & Ann Cox (1765-1844). Her husband was James Bennet Murray (1810-1870).
(She was age 72 years old in the 1850 census, I'm guessing this means she lied about her age and according to this new info. she would be about 65 years old...? And it seems highly unlikely that James Bennet Murray would have been born 1810...since his son Berryman G. Murray was born 1801. Dan M. Clubb)

- Document known as the "Deed Gift" (1807) made by Elisha Wallen. This page 128 from Elisha The Longhunter Wallen by Carolyn Wallin has the author's opinion that this is Elisha b 1732, the Longhunter. I respectfully disagree, believing that this was Elisha Wallen b 1760, a nephew of Elisha b 1732. It seems that the author is not convinced which children belong to these 2 different persons named Elisha and the reason is that both uncle and nephew used the same names for many of their children. < AncestryImage >
