About Agust Jorgen (August) Swaner

Find a Grave

Birth: May 2, 1849 Ribe, Denmark

Death: Mar. 18, 1883 Salt Lake City Salt Lake County Utah, USA

August does not have a gravestone; the photo of "Swaner" is from his brother Christian's grave. The cemetery plot map's and the actual placing of some of the stones around August and his son Herbert are a little mixed up. The broken headstone in the left of the photo belongs to Henry Michael, then there is a empty plot between Henry and August. (this is correct according to maps.)To the right of baby Herbert there is suppose to be a empty plot...instead it is the headstones for John Haslam and wife Mary; they are supposed to be on the row over from August. (maybe the stone was placed on the wrong side of the plot, at the foot instead of the head?)

IT'S NOT ALBERT RAINEY BECAUSE THE PHOTO IS TO OLD AND ALBERT DIDN'T LOOK LIKE THIS. SO BEWARE IF YOU TAKE A COPY OF THIS PHOTO; MAKE SURE YOU KNOW AND MARK IT AS JUST "PROBABLE". I would love to hear from you if you are a descendent and you think this "young Eliza Wiseman" looks like her other photos that we know for sure to be her.
