Albury Banner and Wodonga Express (NSW : 1896 - 1938) Friday 28 April 1933
The death has occurred of Mr. Albert Breust, one of the best-known farmers of the Temora district, at the age of 63 years. The deceased was the eldest son of the late Mr. Otto Brest, who died some years ago, and Mrs. Breust. The latter is now 85 years of age. Born at Bungowannah, near Albury, the late Mr. Albert Breust came to the Temora district with his parents at the age of 13, and lived there ever since. His parents took up land on what was then known as "Mimosa" Station, which extended for miles around, being then a big sheep run, so that the deceased could justly claim to be one of the pioneers of the wheat-growing industry in those parts. Though a fine stamp of Aus- tralian manhood, of late years he had not enjoyed the best of health, and had been troubled with an internal com plaint for a couple of years. He mar- ried Miss Mary Ann Wells, who sur- vives him, and he also leaves seven sons and one daughter, viz., Messrs. Thomas (Quandary), Hugh (Bectric), Arthur (Trickett), Cecil (Bectric), Stanley, Percy and Arnold, and Miss Una Breust, the four last-named resid- ing at home at " Stony Park." Two sons (Oliver and Kenneth) predeceased him. There are also left the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. John Mills (Kamarah), Mrs. F. Jepsen (Pucawan), Mrs. J. McDermott (South Yalgogrin), and Mrs. P. Guthrie (Methul); and Messrs. John (Temora), Allan (Taree) and Ernest (Girral).
