"He was a brilliant student at the University of Toronto where he received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1958. He got a Master of Science in 1959 and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 1961 at the University of Illinois. From 1961 to 1970, he worked at the Westinghouse Research Lab in Pittsburgh, Pa.; then from 1970 -1974 he was a project leader at Hydro Quebec in Varennes, Quebec and was a staff member at Los Alamos National Laboratory from 1974 -1986. He then lectured at Texas Tech University and ran a small business in Lubbock, Texas. In addition to his scientific ability, Albert had a solid background in Hebrew, Latin and Greek and spoke fluent French.
