About Albert Randall Mackey
Albert Randall Mackey, 86, died at 4:18 a.m. May 12, 2001, at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born May 3, 1915, in Monongahela, Pa., to Robert Patterson and Mary Elizabeth Simms Mackey. On January 31, 1942, he married Charlotte Agnes Ellerbrock, who died May 24, 1998. Mr. Mackey retires as an electrician after 34 years with Buckeye Pipe Line Co. He previously worked for Lima Armature Works. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and graduated from high school in New Castle, Pa. He was a member of the Buckeye Retirement Club, the Fort Amanda Lodge 706 Free & Accepted Masons, Chapter 49 of the Royal Arch and Select Masons, Shawnee Commandery Number 14, the Hi-12 Number 590, the Shriners Antioch Temple of Dayton and the Lima Shrine Club. Survivors include two sons, Dr, Robert E. (Jean) Mackey of Lima and A. Ronald Mackey of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter Mary (David) Lamon of Columbus; and nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. Will Croy will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be held 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
