Obituary Condolences Albert J. Noyes, of Orange, formerly of Marlborough, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at Quabbin Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Athol. Born in Marlborough, he was the son of the late Edward and Marian (Jackson) Noyes and the husband of Barbara (Matheson) Noyes, who died in 1993. Mr. Noyes graduated from Worcester Boys Trade. He owned and operated the Radio Shop, Marlborough, until it was destroyed by fire in 1949, and provided the public address system for all major functions in the City of Marlborough. He had been employed as an electronics technician for the Digital Corp., until his retirement. He and his late wife traveled across the United States several times and in the past few years, had enjoyed activities at the Petersham Rod and Gun Club. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Albert E. and Christine Noyes of Orange, with whom he made his home. He was also the brother of the late Jane Noyes and Nancy Weiderman. Donations may be made to the Quabbin Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 821 Daniel Shays Highway, Athol, MA 01331. Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the Slattery Funeral Home Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA.
